Abstract
The analysis of coupling phenomena and the verification of signal integrity in PCBs having complex layout can be performed by segmentation techniques. For this purpose the response of a sub-PCB block needs to be computed in an accurate and efficient way. In this paper we present a combined procedure, based on FDTD and a moment-expansion deconvolution by which the impulse response matrix is obtained via time domain processing only. The algorithm, previously tested on microwave planar devices with satisfactory accuracy, is now proposed for the macromedelling of PCB structures.
