Abstract
The threshold concepts framework in teaching and learning is a growing area of research and has recently made an impact on the learning experience of students. Many methods have been explored for the identification of threshold concepts across various disciplines. This paper discusses on the issues of pedagogy and curriculum design including assessment of students in vocational education and training (VET) sector and industry training environment. The paper also explores the knowledge of threshold concepts that could be used to focus the curriculum of the national training package in Technical and Further Education (TAFE)-Industry training environment.
