Abstract :
This paper proposed a compact UHF slotted array antenna by utilizing slots to minimize the size of the antenna. The design presented used a substrate with a very high permittivity, which resulted in an antenna with practical dimension and thus a compact structure. This truncated edge linear polarized antenna is comprised of four patches as its radiating elements and feed by a single coaxial connector at the ground layer. This proposed antenna has a desired operating frequency of 0.63 GHz used to determine the performance of the antenna included the radiation pattern. This antenna focus on 0.63 GHz UHF band that is still predominantly used for TV broadcasting. With the gain of 5.03 dB and the reflection coefficient of −11.79 dB, this antenna is suitable and has a big potential for UHF application.
