Abstract :
The globalization in developed countries has urged to the needs of the satellites that enable a great potential to meet significant needs to serve to people on the earth. the third Malaysian remote sensing satellite, RazakSAT-2 is announced by The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovative (MOSTI). RazakSAT-2 satellite is the upgraded capabilities in term of payload, software and the satellite equipment compares with its predecessor, RazakSAT, which was launched in year 2009. With the upcoming Ra zakSAT-2 mission, there is a need to develop a new platform for new ground communication system with more value added elements. The paper presented current ground communication system flow for both S and X band. Besides that the paper also highlights the limitations faced by ground station team members during satellite tracking operation and maintenance works. To avoid the same issues arise again, problem solving methods are proposed. Furthermore, the paper makes recommendations to add value to the future ground communication system. In short, the aim of the paper is to mitigate the foreseen problems but to propose value added elements to make good on the future ground communication system of RazakSAT-2 satellite for different space mission.
