Abstract
The growing popularity of smart phone users causes more applications produced which each requires maintaining good quality. Most of these applications use mobile thick client architecture. A mobile thick client application can be used offline, thus compensating the bandwidth requirement that is needed by most mobile applications. Web API is also popular to be used as data source. These facts implicates the need to measure mobile thick client that uses Web API quality objectively and practically so that developer can build high quality application that can compete within the other mobile application. Unfortunately, there has yet to be a research that discusses quality measurement specific for mobile thick client that uses Web API. This research propose a quality model for mobile thick client that uses Web API. The model is developed based on ISO 25010. Goal-Question-Metrics (GQM) method is used to characterize the metrics. The proposed model provides technical steps to measure the metrics. It comes with the tools to get the metrics value. This model focuses on performance efficiency and reliability quality characteristics. Thus, it is suitable to use by developers who wants to build robust and lightweight application.
