  • Abstract
We propose a method of generating a pseudo-noise with arbitrary statistical parameters and the prototype equipment that generates a pseudo-noise according to specified APD, PDD, and PSD. This method applies the method to generate arbitrary distribution random numbers. The amplitude probability distribution (APD), pulse duration distribution (PDD) and pulse spacing distribution (PSD) of the noise are designed in this method. This noise generator produces a pseudo-noise with same APD, PDD and PSD as the designated one. In the evaluation of this noise generator, the APD, PDD and PSD of noise emitted from a microwave oven (MWO) were designed. A pseudo-noise was generated from the pseudo-noise generator based on the designed one. As a result, the APD, PDD and PSD of the pseudo-noise agree with the designated APD, PDD and PSD. However, the crossing rate distribution (CRD) of the pseudo-noise was different from the CRD of the MWO
