Abstract :
The Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is an infrastructure less network of mobile component without any prior structure of communication within the network. The primary major challenge is security and privacy while communicating mobile nodes in the network because of open environment of the MANET. MANETs are vulnerable to Packet Drop Attack is a type of Denial of Service (DoS) attack. Packet Drop Attack in which, nodes drop the packets, but it is not attracting the neighbouring nodes to drop the packets. This proposed model works with existing routing protocol. This paper formulates the packet drop problem of MANET with the help of prior probability and continuous Bayes´ Theorem. This paper will helps to identify the packet dropper node present in the MANET.
