Abstract :
The acoustic characteristics of stator insulation will change with the increase of voids and delamination at mica/epoxy interface due to insulation aging. In this paper, a physical model is proposed to investigate the acoustic signal response to an impact, applied to the stator bar containing voids and delamination. Acoustic experiments are performed to study the acoustic characteristics of stator bars in the period of accelerated aging test
