Abstract :
In the MUSIC algorithm, as the final space signal search module, the spectrum peak search plays a vital role in the design. It is quite complicated, because of the choice of search methods, as well as to determine the scope of the search. To solve this problem, we use a two-step search method to determine the final orientation of spatial signal. This paper has completed a spectrum peak search module design by setting the circular array made of 8 array antennae as the application object. The scope of this search constitutes a hemisphere with the azimuth of -180°~ 180° and the pitch angle of 0° ~ 90°. The experimental results from FPGA indicates that this module can complete the expectations smoothly. This module can seizure the number of signals and the corresponding azimuth (theta) as well as elevation (phi), with the accuracy of 0.1°. The system can operate in 79.2MHz steadily, and the time needed to search for a hemisphere is 18.26ms, which can achieve the real-time requirements.
