Abstract
Failures detection is a fundamental issue for fault tolerance in distributed system. In order to increase the adaptive capacity, the failure detectors dynamically adjust the detecting quality according to the variations of network. In this paper, a new failure detection model is proposed, which adopts heartbeat detection strategy based on PULL mode. The experiment shows that the adaptive-algorithm has the ability to decrease the average detection time and reduce the impact of the network delay to some extent.
