Abstract :

Samira1289@yahoo.co.in This paper presents modified ring shaped fractal antenna with Sierpinski triangle fed by 50-ohm micro strip line along with the partial ground plane and greatly exhibits the multiband behavior. The impedance bandwidth increases by using the fractal configuration. The antenna has been simulated using HFSS simulation software and the performance parameter such as return loss, radiation pattern and gain (7.17 dB) is studied for the second iteration of patch to achieve the best performance. The simulated results demonstrate that the structure exhibits wide impedance bandwidths of frequency spans 3.65-5.09 GHz and 7.52-8.65 GHz with respect to level RL = -10 dB. The designed antenna contributes to the X-band as well as C band applications. Finally hardware implementation of proposed design is carried out and the results have been obtained as per the requirement.
