Abstract :
Surface hardening was performed by diffusion borating to produce a surface hardened layer with a high adhesive strength. Notably the resulting layer exhibited no dramatic changes in its properties at the interface. Such properties of the materials treated in this way were obtained due to formation of a tooth-shaped structure within the hardened layer during borating
