Abstract
A big promotion of distributed generation (DG) is a direct consequence of sustainable development policy in world environment and advancement in technology, therefore it is urgent to find an effective way to evaluate the DGs located at power system. A Hierarchical model for placement of DGs synthetic evaluation is present with duly consideration to the impact of environmental and economic context. A hierarchical evaluation system for power quality is also established, and it presents another method to rank the locations for DG from the perspective of the DG´s influence to power quality, as indicated in the second cases in Section IV as well. Two case studies are given to show the effectiveness of the catastrophe theory.
