Abstract :
This paper reviews research and development on the phased array antennas (PAAs) for several applications in Japan in over past three decades. The author presents the radar PAAs for the atmosphere observation use, the communication and sensor PAAs for satellite use and the terminal PAAs for mobile communication use.
