Abstract :
A high-efficiency rectenna system at 2.45GHz is proposed in the present work for ultralow wireless energy harvesting applications. Composed of a novel 3D Yagi-Uda antenna array and a well-tuned rectifying circuit, the proposed rectenna has achieved antenna gain greater than 10dBi and a conversion efficiency of about 54%. The entire rectenna system can harvest 60.6µW DC power and deliver it to the 8.2kΩ DC load under the power density of 1µW/cm2, resulting in EFoM=9.89dB with the largest dimension of 9.7cm. With the compact size occupation and good performance, the proposed scheme is promising and applicable for low-power applications.
