Abstract :
In this paper, a wireless power transmission technique for mobile applications is presented. Currently, research, development and standardization activities for wireless power transmission systems have been carried out for various kinds of applications such as battery charging for mobile terminals and electric vehicles. For most wireless transmission systems, the receiver antenna positions should be placed near the transmission antenna. Recently, there has been some research on the motion of the receiver in wireless power transmission systems. This paper introduces several works to relax this limitation in the receiver position. This presenter developed a wireless power transmission system using parallel transmission line. The developed system is capable of sending electric power to the moving receiver alongside the transmission line. In this system, however, the impedance matching condition for efficient power transmission varies depending upon the motion of the receiver antenna. In order to solve this matching problem, an adaptive impedance matching method based on multiple-stage matching circuit is implemented. The empirical experiment shows that it is an efficient system for wireless power transmission for mobile applications.
