A study on the S-parameter method compensated by the short-correction

Abstract :
Recently, S-parameter method that is the measurement method of the input impedance of the balanced antenna is proposed. It is a problem of this method that the jig influences measured value when the measurement frequency increases. To remove the influence of the jig, we have examined compensating method using the ABCD-matrix. In this report, to verify the accuracy of the S-parameter method compensated by the short-correction, the input impedance of the dipole antenna is calculated by the FDTD method. It is shown that the result of the S-parameter method is agree very well with the results of delta gap fed dipole antenna and the theories by King.
