Abstract :
In this paper, a W-band 2×2 helical antenna array using low temperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) technology is presented. Using the multilayer process of the LTCC technology, the planar helical array antenna is achieved. The substrate integrated horn (SIH) structure has been designed to suppress conical radiation pattern. To enhance the AR bandwidth, a sequential rotation feeding scheme is applied to feed the array. From the simulated results, the proposed antenna array shows a wide impedance bandwidth from 85 to 100 GHz for |S11|< −10 dB, and a wideband axial radio (AR) bandwidth from 80 to 100 GHz for AR< 3 dB, respectively. The peak gain of proposed antenna array is about 11.8 dBi at 94 GHz.
