Abstract :
A coplanar waveguide (CPW) antenna for dual-band frequency operation is presented. A compact dual-band tunable antenna can be achieved by a circuit with two varactor diodes at the end of CWP and a series capacitor loaded at the middle. The frequencies of the lower and upper band can be operated independently. Namely, two bias voltages control the lower and upper band separately. Besides, the frequency range is from 2.4 GHz to 5.1 GHz. Moreover, the radiation patterns over entire frequency range are alike. The excellent matching can be acquired over entire frequency range.
