Content-based access to multimedia educational libraries

The availability of huge amounts of digital multimedia information introduces new challenges for the efficient representation of the data and the access to it. This document describes a system designed to allow such an access for a concrete type of information (educational video material) with a defined architecture (a client-server model over standard IP networks).
