            Abstract : 
This paper presents the signal-slot communication mechanism (SCM) between objects to design an effective embedded GUI with object-oriented characteristic under the C environment. It focuses on message driven module of GUI universal infrastructure which includes the object model subsystem, the preprocessing at the compiling time and the objects´ communication at the running time in target platform. Moreover, the embedded GUI using SCM has been verified through the prototype (HGUI) on SC344B0X ARM7 evaluation board.
