  • Abstract
    Urban eco-economic system (UEES) is a multi-phase and non-linear complex system, and it is difficult to predict its behavior. Based on the concept of circular economy for eco-city construction, by using the artificial neural network (ANN) analysis method, this study predicted the scale and trend of urban eco-economic development of Ningbo City. In the analysis, 10 indicators including industrial output value and the proportion of tertiary industry were selected as the input layer and economic scale was used as the output layer to construct the ANN for the eco-economic development of Ningbo City. The network was trained by the actual elemental values of Ningbo City from 1999 to 2007. According to the network testing and operation results, suggestions on Ningbo eco-economic system development were presented.
