Abstract :
Extraction of the 70 GeV protons has been realized with the aid of the internal targets installed before the septum-magnets of the slow extraction system. Having undergone elastic scattering in the target and a following deflection into the first septum-magnet aperture, protons are extracted from the accelerator. The targets of W and Cu were used. As distinct from the regime of simultaneous extraction of protons with the use of targets generating the secondary particles (the material of Be, C) the intensity of more than 3E11 protons per cycle was obtained. It is by 5-10 times higher of the working intensity of the accelerated proton beam extracted simultaneously with the beam of secondary particles
