Abstract
Smiths Aerospace, Electronic Systems, has been engaged by the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) on a dual-use science and technology program to develop a probabilistic diagnostic and prognostic system (ProDAPS) for engine health management. This paper introduces the components of ProDAPS and the rationale for the adopted approach, along with some preliminary results and future directions.
