Abstract :
To address the issue of reviewing unstructured document format of academic dissertation, this paper proposes a model method for dissertation format review based on XML format node template tree. This method is to convert the Word document of a dissertation to an xml document and then identify the XML tags to extract the document format features and establish a document format node tree. During a document format review, compare the format node tree of the tested document with that of the standard document to detect the error nodes and comment the format errors. To enhance the comparison efficiency, divide the dissertation document format node tree into a number of sub-trees based on the theme. In the comparison algorithm, compare the theme sub-trees in the standard format template with the theme sub-trees of the tested document in terms of structures, nodes and attributes, so as to identify and record the error format nodes and tag the error in the comment algorithm. The method described in this paper achieves automatic format review and comment insertion for academic dissertation. It is a superior method for its high error detection rate, low false detection rate, and simple yet robust extraction rules.
