Abstract
This paper´s object is the control and the observation of an induction motor using sliding mode strategy. Therefore, sliding surfaces are proposed to adjust the speed and the square of the rotor flux magnitude. The observer is used to estimate the rotor flux, because it can´t be measured in practice. An adaptive algorithm of the rotor´s resistance is proposed to improve the robustness of this strategy; this work is based on Lyapunov function to make sliding surfaces asymptotically attractive.
