Abstract :
This paper considers performance preserving controller reduction problem. Since it is necessary to compute rational approximation of the weights in performance preserving controller reduction algorithms, sometimes the computational complexity and high-order weights will occur when we realize these algorithms. In this paper we propose a computationally simplified method to realize these algorithms. Unlike the original methods, the proposed method does not involve the direct computation of high-order weights. A new method for optimizing reduced order controller parameters is also presented
