  • Abstract
This paper proposes a method to produce two output voltages, one is a step-up voltage and the other is step down voltage simultaneously. The high voltage gain converter which is used to step-up the voltage has many applications, like fuel cells and discharge lamps. To step down the output voltage a half circuit is used which produces half of the input voltage. The step down converter is used for applications where high efficiency is required, this converter is also of low cost and has power saving capacity. In this paper, the high voltage gain step-up converter is a single switch converter which is nonisolated type dc-dc converter to combine coupled inductor and voltage doubler cell with diode capacitor techniques. Very large voltage conversion ratio with proper duty cycle is achieved by this step-up converter and this converter also reduces stress on the switch. The efficiency is increased by effectively recycling the leakage energy stored in the coupled inductor. The high pulsed input current problem is eliminated by the use of coupled inductor. This new converter is small in size and has very large conversion ratio with high efficiency for industrial applications.
