  • Abstract
Buck converters are the most popular converters used in the consumer electronic industry today. Synchronous buck converters are becoming the industry standard because of their higher efficiency and superior performance. Modeling and simulation of the synchronous buck converter is carried out in this paper. The open-loop and closed-loop converters are simulated to show the effectiveness of the simple continuous-time integral compensator used in this work. The effects of the input voltage and load current perturbations, and how the feedback network handles them are demonstrated. The results show that the simple continuous-time integral compensator regulates the output voltage effectively against input voltage and load current perturbations.
