Abstract
A new class of invariants, the frequency moments, is presented. They may be interpreted as a generalization of time moments and Markov parameters. The linear relationships between moments and transfer function parameters are also used to determine reduced models. In order to demonstrate the interest of this theory, we propose to reduce the order of a controller designed by H∞ method
