Abstract :
Network-supported remote vehicle control is expected to improve efficiency in the future. Our current research target is to develop a cost-effective real-time control technique using the broadband wireless network infrastructure widely used by smart phones and personal computers. A key to realizing such control is a highly reliable data transmission technique that achieves a very small packet transmission delay and a very small packet loss ratio. To improve the transmission performance of broadband wireless access networks, e.g., cellular networks and wireless LANs, we present a dual transmission protocol that uses multiple independent transmission channels simultaneously. In this paper, we present the numerical simulation results obtained from the network simulator ns-3. We also present the experimental results of our scratch build program. The results show the effectiveness of our proposal.
