Abstract
This paper proposes a multiband slot CPW antenna using capacitive feed and interdigital capacitor for GSM, WiMAX and WLAN systems. The design is based on coplanar feed slot antenna. It´s the first time to reduce size from λ/4 about λ/8 and control harmonic frequency by using only one technique. In part of slot antenna, interdigital capacitor has been used to improve matching of return loss to be less than 10 dB at all bands. The fabricated antenna has been operated at 1.6-2.48 GHz, 3.3-4.3 GHz, and 4.9-6.0 GHz bands. The experimental results of the fabricated antenna agree very well with simulation expectations using IE3D package.
