Abstract
We consider nonlinear identification using a Hammerstein/nonlinear feedback model with piecewise linear static maps. Our method uses a point-slope parameterization of the static nonlinearity that leads to a computationally tractable optimization problem. The identification method simultaneously approximates the linear dynamic and static nonlinear blocks of the model
