Abstract :
In this paper the pole placement problem by static output feedback for linear time-invariant multivariable systems is considered together with the minimization of the control effort. This purpose is faced by using an explicit parametrization of the gain output feedback matrix. The minimization of the control effort is performed by an optimization algorithm based only on the value of the performance index
