Abstract
This paper illustrates the application of tools from the theory of fundamental limitations to the SIMO elevation dynamics of a weapon pointing system. Limitations due to RHP zeros are investigated with respect to the closed loop tracking error frequency response. The analysis is used to evaluate the feasibility of candidate bounds on this closed loop performance function. Such insight can assist in the selection of frequency weighting functions used in, for example, H∞ and μ-synthesis design techniques
