Abstract :
Placement of Distributed Generator in distribution system deals with many objectives and constraints. Deterministic approaches cannot be directly applied to the problems consisting of uncertain input like load and wind data. Probabilistic methods give a reasonable solutions in such cases. In this paper, Monte Carlo simulation technique based distributed generator placement is discussed considering two types of distributed generation; conventional and wind. The approach is applied to a 15-bus and 33-bus radial distribution systems and the results are obtained.
