Abstract :
This paper presented a methodology of interaction between hand and a virtual object based on augmented reality during the procedure of virtual assembly. The effective size of the grasped object is proposed to match with the flexion of the hand during the procedure of the grasping. Meanwhile, the method for judging the motion of grasping occurrence, recognizing user´s intention of assembling and detecting the geometrical congruence of the components is discussed in detail. The methodology is experimented in virtual assembly and is proved to be efficient for grasping and assembling the virtual component in augmented reality.
