Abstract :
As a key technology of the LTE-A, coordinated multiple point transmission (CoMP) plays an important role on reducing the interference and improving users´ throughput. Adopting different coordination strategies, the performances vary greatly with respect to system capacity as well as the overheads. In this paper, we mainly study the strategies for downlink CoMP including joint processing/transmission (JP/JT) and scheduling/beamforming(CS/CB) in different scenarios, respectively. First of all, it presents a coordination strategy that a part of users adopt CoMP-JP/JT within a static cluster. To divide users into coordination and noncoordination, an algorithm based on the channel isolation and a utility function that determines the optimal channel isolation threshold are put forward. Furthermore, extra coordination scheme that some cluster edge users adopt CoMP CS/CB is applied, to eliminate the interference from adjacent clusters. The simulation result shows that our coordination scheme outperforms that based on coordination distance for users with low throughput. The utility function well balances the performance and system backhaul overhead.
