Abstract :
To resolve the networking problem in the satellite constellation with lots of broken-down nodes, and intermittent connected links, we propose a novel inter-satellite routing protocol based on link recognizing (LRSR). In LRSR, each satellite provides data relaying service for other satellites by the way of DTN,that is, “store-carry-forward”. The main idea of LRSR is: (1) each satellite monitors the state of its links in real time and sends the newest link state changes to all satellites it meets. (2) Receiving link state information, each satellite updates its link state database. (3) While sending out packets, each satellite needs use Dijkstra algorithm and its link state database compute the shortest path and the best next hop, and then deliver packets to next hop node while meeting. The simulation results show that: LRSR routing algorithm has good performance. Using it, the values of packet dropping rate and the values of average network delay are always in a lower level relatively.
