Abstract
Software reliability testing technique is very important to improve, assure, estimate and validate the reliability of the critical-safety software. However, due to a number of issues, it is difficult to be applied in the development practice of the airborne software systems. In this paper, we propose a comprehensive implementation framework of software reliability testing, develop a software reliability test & assessment tool-suite (i.e. SRTAT). Finally we show a case study of the reliability demonstration testing on critical airborne software for presenting a detailed and practical illustration that how to successfully perform the software reliability testing process in the real project. From this case study, we find that if the implement process of the reliability testing becomes more automatic, the reliability testing will not be an impossible task and can become more practical and applicable to the real project.
