Abstract :
This paper examines the employee development management system at a company operating in IT. The organisational entity examined is the R&D (Research and Development) Department at the company Y Soft Corporation. The aim of the investigation is to examine the system of evaluating the performance of employees and their development implemented within the department. The unstructured interview method was used to obtain primary data. The data obtained was used to draw up a case study. Analysis showed that the basic tool in employee development is a personal development plan individually adjusted to each employee. The given plan is based on the global goals of the company, which are reflected in team performance indicators, supplemented by the personal goals of the given employee. The system of evaluating and managing employee development implemented at the company under examination was found to be seen in an extremely positive light by employees, who appreciate the effect it has on motivation which is reflected in their work.
