Abstract :
The effective use of the Internet for both educational and personal uses is becoming increasingly important. This is especially true for educators at all levels. The ability to “attend” on-line workshops, retrieve teaching aids and research material, interact with colleagues, and maintain/advance your knowledge base within your profession are just a few of the possibilities available through effective use of the network. This paper is designed to provide some of the basic tools needed for accessing the numerous resources available on the Internet. Additionally, software designed for incorporating Internet information into classroom presentations is presented as is software for preventing access of undesirable material
