Abstract :
Acoustic Resonance Spectroscopy is a potentially attractive technique for the quality assurance of manufactured products. In this paper we report the preliminary results from an investigation of the application of the ARS method to the inspection of cast concrete products. We show that in spite of a number of practical problems it is possible to obtain reproducible acoustic resonance spectra that would allow qualitative assessment of concrete beams and similar objects
