Abstract :
This paper presents a Web portal system that supports visualization of a large number of data sets. On the Web site, users can browse or search for required data sets and select how the data should be visualized. Data sets can be retrieved from different locations via multiple protocols including SSH, HTTP, FTP and GridFTP. Visualization tasks can be executed on visualization servers at different locations on demand. Interactive visualization is supported. Visualization results can be stored and retrieved later. The portal is used in a Tsunami warning system where a lot of tsunami cases are simulated in order to identify risk areas along the coast of Thailand.
