Abstract
This paper presents analysis and design of softswitching interleaved boost converter. The proposed converter exhibits higher voltage gain, almost double, in comparison to the well-established interleaved boost converter. Furthermore, a zero-voltage switching is implemented to all the switching devices by using resonance principle. A steady-state analysis is made, and then necessary and sufficient conditions for zero-voltage switching are established. The proposed converter design and analysis is predetermined for a 12 to 100 V, 50 W prototype in simulation and then compared with experimental results. Experimental measurements are in close correlation to simulation results.
