Abstract :
A bank of composite filters has been presented as a good method to deal with road sign detection. A training set of images is used to design the filters including information of different distortions. Results show that the system is able to recognize road signs that are varying in scale, in-plane and out-plane rotated as well as illuminated in different conditions
