Abstract :
A prototype instrument is described that use a digital signal processor to estimate four features: mean absolute value, variance, zero crossing and mean frequency, that represent the myoelectric patterns. These features are obtained on-line, the time to data acquisition and processing is 170 ms. Results are presented to support the prototype instrument efficiency
