Abstract :
A high safety gas-supplying control system is developed for a chemical factory. The system is designed to monitor and control a gas-supply process remotely from at least 3000m away. A ring-redundant industrial Ethernet is applied in the control system. The fore-end PLCs of the system are controlled with a back-end PLC through the Ethernet. The control project has been running reliably for more than 5 years
