Abstract
The generation of ozone and the corona current in a coaxial wire-to-cylinder electrode system have been experimentally investigated using different mixtures of nitrogen and oxygen. A monotonous increase of ozone concentration was observed when the percentage of oxygen in the total gas mixture was augmented. However, for each gas mixture, the stationary ozone density decreased with increasing the current intensity at high corona currents.
