  • Abstract
    To optimize the structure of water lubricated bearings, six kinds of bearings in different eccentricity ratio (ε) have been designed. The models are built by CREO and numerically simulated by CFX. Fluid-solid coupling is used to compare the relationship between the pressure and the load carrying capacity with different eccentricity ratio (ε) by ANSYS workbench. The analysis results show that the load carrying capacity decreases with the eccentricity ratio (ε) growing whether fluid-solid coupling is considered. If fluid-solid coupling is considered, the load carrying capacity is bigger than the same situation with no coupling loaded. The simulation result can predict the characteristics of water lubricated bearings and provide the reference for optimization design.
